The Mesmerist

The Mesmerist is a unique Warlock subclass for the 5th edition of the world's greatest roleplaying game. Entice and entrance friends and foes alike to slip under, dream deep, and accept you completely. What transpires in that trance may, in the end, be just a pleasant memory.

This subclass module contains rules for a new 5E subclass, the "Mesmerist," including new patrons, new spells, new magical items and sample NPCs. 13 pages long, it contains all the tools necessary for you to add the soft noise of a ticking clock, the sibilant whisper of instruction to your table.

Mesmerists help others slip into soft, pliant trances: once an individual is comfortable, they become relaxed. Once an individual becomes relaxed, they become receptive. And receptiveness allows for instruction.

Hypnosis is a status unique to the Mesmerist's spells. When a Mesmerist Charms an already Charmed person, they slip even deeper into the trance. Hypnotized creatures can be given simple directions and commands that they then follow to the best of their ability. However, there are many kinds of Hypnotic Trances...

When a creature becomes hypnotized, do they realize whose music they dance to? Are they aware during, after, or neither? These questions dictate the type of trance a creature slips into when they become hypnotized. For example, a creature who is aware and willingly acting is enthralled:

Five further trances are detailed in this module, as well as many interesting toys, items, and spells. Everything to craft ideal obedience.

This class builds on rules and information from Rolling for Seduction, a core rulebook and guide to erotic roleplaying, but purchase of the core book isn't necessary: this class is accessible without it. Though erotically-themed, the content within can used in non-NSFW contexts and brought to non-erotic tables.
